Brisbane?s writing scene is on the cusp of something big. Recent Brisbane-based successes have paved the way for a new model of viewing Brisbane?s writing scene ? not merely a springboard to brighter and better things interstate and overseas, but a location and culture to cultivate viable success. The writing and spoken word program is dedicated to bringing vibrant new voices from out of Brisbane?s cultural woodwork, and focuses on ways that emerging Brisbane writers can start to make themselves heard.
