Management Structure

Straight Out of Brisbane Festival Inc. is a not-for-profit organisation incorporated under Queensland law.

The stated aim of the festival under its constitution is "to organise a festival for young, emerging and independent artists in south-east Queensland." A short discussion of our mission and philosophies is outlined here.

The organisation is managed by a 5-member Management Committee elected by SOOB's members at our Annual General Meeting. This committee consists of Louise Terry (President), Susan Kukucka (Secretary), Ben Eltham (Treasurer), Cal Wilson and Kirsty Kross.

Financial management of Straight Out of Brisbane is carried out by the Management Committee, particularly the Treasurer. SOOB has an ABN and the mysterious IA number that non-profit associations are given in Queensland instead of an ACN.

Anyone interested in SOOB is welcome to join the organisation and can then participate in the management of the festival through voting at AGM's and attending Management Committee meetings.

SOOB's financial reports for our financial year ending March 2003 have been audited by Brian Tucker CPA and are available from SOOB Management on request.

Thank you's …

Firstly, none of this festival would have been possible without all of the local
superstars who worked on the program. All of these artists have volunteered
their time, creativity, brains and love to make the program as incredible as
it is. Props to you all. Secondly, thanks must go to Ryan Foster, Rena Singh,
Sarah Kaushik, Anna Spencer and the amazing Visible Ink crew for all their ongoing
commitment to SOOB over the last two years. Their resources and support has
literally saved this festival's arse. Many thanks also to the Museum of Brisbane
for their sponsorship of the SOOB Program Launch and the Brisbane Powerhouse
for their support.
